Śaivasiddhānta – Short-Term Course Overview

This course is designed for individuals interested in exploring the profound philosophy and spiritual traditions of Saiva Siddhanta. It covers core principles like Pati (God), Pasu (Soul), and Pasa (Bondage), emphasizing their significance in spiritual practice. Saiva Siddhanta promotes selfless service (seva) and universal welfare, inspiring participants to act with unity and compassion.

Course Details:

Objective: To introduce basic Sanskrit Text of śaivasiddhānta in English, highlight their importance, and inspire an in-depth understanding of their teachings.

Eligibility:

Open to all genders.
Belief in Saiva tradition and Sanatana Dharma.
Recommended minimum age: 12 years.

Syllabus:

Introduction to śaivasiddhānta.
First Text in Eight Sanskrit texts on śaivasiddhānta—Aṣṭaprakaraṇa series
Tattvaprakāśa – a foundational text of the Śaivasiddhānta tradition by King Bhojadeva
Siddhantaprakāśikā
a foundational text of the Śaivasiddhānta tradition by Śrīmān Sarvātmaśambhu

Class Recordings will be provided.

Certification:
Participants who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion.

Course Fee:
An amount of Rs.1000/- is the monthly course fee for the scholarly teachings of the Saivasiddhantha online course.

This course is offered by the Saiva Sastra Prachara Sabha (run by Sivaagama Trust) as part of its ongoing efforts to protect and promote the Saiva Sastras. However, participants who also wish to support the Sabha’s activities can make a voluntary donation to the Sabha.
